Art and Other Myths: Collages

I am an historian, a hunter-gatherer, a miner, and a trash collector. My personal collage “style”, like the medium itself, borrows from and pays homage to a multitude of sources. Art history books are gold mines for me. I find a peculiar lyrical quality to old anatomy and medical drawings. I have become a storyteller by way of being an editor. Whole books are whittled down to a handful of drapery folds, a stack of knowing glances, or a bouquet of muscle and bone. As parts are placed and replaced, a story emerges bit by bit, leaf by leaf, tissue by tissue.
