What is The Boy Bedlam Review?
Bedlam: riotous, chaotic -- a place of crazy people.
Kind of like the world today.
Bedlam’s Boy: a Child of Chaos, a Strange
Attractor.
The Boy Bedlam Review is a monthly publication of arts and ideas for
the 21st Century. Our primary goal is to advocate for, and publish, works
of human creativity and interpretation that positively serve the dialogue
between religion/spirituality and technology/science. We approach the
subject of our world’s hyperreal, hypermodern, hypersexual, and
information-suffused state with a pre-eminent question: What is useful,
and what is necessary, for us to be educated, wise, generous, and just
HUMAN BEINGS in an era of late capitalism and high technology?
We are not a Literary Journal, nor are we a News Magazine – though
we admit parts of both into our fold. We strive to present a POETICS
OF INFORMATION for Our Era by associations of Ideas and leaps
of Imagination. Each monthly issue is anchored by three articles, essays,
or works of art whose subjects trace a common Theme.
Trailing at the bottom of a featured piece, a list of Tangents
links you to associated content on The Boy Bedlam Review and elsewhere.
They are lines of twine in the Labyrinth, and strands of silk in the Web.
Our auxiliary BedlamBlog
is our community, our sounding-board, our warehouse of raw materials filled
with junk that, in the hands of a creative Child of Bedlam, can BLOOM!
into a toy – one that can help us play with the complex geometries
of our nature.
